TWELVE MEDFORD (OREGON) Society and Clubs Hughes-Bosworth Rites To Be Soon; Fiance To Arrive One of June's larger weddings will be that of Miss June Bos worth to William George Hughes, Portland. Miss Bosworth is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. : Harlan P. Bosworth Jr., 2425 ' East Main street, Medford. Mr. Hughes is to arrive In Medford this week and will be a guest of Miss Bosworth's aunt, Mrs. Maxwell Pciree, 37 Valley ; View drive, until the wedding which will be an event of June 22 at St. Mark's Episcopal church. Mr. Hughes was grad uated from Syracuse university, Syracuse, N. Y., earlier this month, taking a master's degree in forestry. Miss Bosworth's brother, Har lan, is expected this week-end from Oxford, O., where he was graduated June 9 from Miami university. The graduate has studied music at Miami univer- sity, and is a cellist. His grand : parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan P. ' Bosworth, Sr., of Buffalo, N. Y., ; were in Oxford for the com ; mencement ceremonies. Jamboree Planned In Central Point ' Central Point The, Central Squares, Central Point square dance group, has planned a dance Jamboree which will be held Saturday, June 14, at the Crater High school gymnasium, Central Point. The public is Invited to attend, and proceeds from the event will be used to send delegates on the United Nations pilgrimage. Win ners of the pilgrimage contest, sponsored in this county by the IOOF and Rebekah lodges, was won by Patricia Abbott, Ash land, and Pat Foley, Gold Hill. Forrest Thomason is president of the club, Gerald Kime is vice president and Mrs. Thomason Is secretary. Women's Relief Corps Plans Dinner Tuesday Central Point Women's Re lief corps of Central Point will hold a potluck dinner Tuesday, June 17, in the park at Central Point. Husbands of members will be guests. . The corps has also planned a rummage sale to be held June 20 In the KP hall, Medford. The committee states that the group will be grateful for donations for the sale. 1 Change Meeting Phoenix Phoenix Garden club will meet Friday, June 20, in the home of Mrs. A. C. Lewis, Coleman Creek road. This Is a change from the original an nouncement that the club would meet In the Presbyterian church. The session Is set for 1:30 p.m. 4 Plan Picnic Junior Degree of Honor will hold a picnic in Hawthorne park Saturday, June 14, from 2 to 4 p. m, Mrs. H. G. Wilson states that a swimming party will be held if the weather permits. If you have a few canned peaches, apricots and pears, make a fruit-compote file. Mrs. George Bourne, presl dent, states that final reports on the annual May festival will be given, and officers for the new year will be elected, making a full atts rjance desirable. Nominated at the last meeting were Merle Simmons, E. S. Mad den, Arthur MacKintosh and Mrs. O. M. Grove, for president John Cook and Warren Haggard, vice-president; Mrs. E. R. Chaf- lin, Mrs. Leonard Half hill and Mrs. Opie Frazier, secretary- treasurer. Roy Maddox was nom inated for youth director, and Leonard Halfhillfor senior direc tor. There's something about her that Take someone to Church 4-H Club News Eagle Point Dairy Club Eagle Point Dairy club held its last meeting at Eagle Point Grange hall on June 5. The club decided to hold two meeting:; in stead of one each month so all will be well . prepared for the fair. Meetings will be held at one of the member's homes so we can see and judge their ani mals. Next meeting will be held at Billy Caldwell's home on June 19 at' 8 p.m. Two members, Dixie Moore and Catherine Carroll, are plan ning to go to 4-H Summer school. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Check and Mrs. Carroll. Lee Sanderson, Reporter. Sams Valley Club Sams Valley 4-H tractor main tenance club met at the home of Kenneth and Clifford Bighham on June 5. Members discussed how to clean an air filter. Next meeting would be at our leader's home, Mr. Floyd Doland, . at 7 p.m., June 17.
