FOURTEEN MEDFORD (OREGON) MAIL TRIBUNE Sunday, June I, 1852 Trip to Canadian Wilds Could Prove Expensive for Timber School Principal Forest Grove. Ore. U.PJ A vacation in the Canadian wilds could prove mighty expensive tor Robert Warner, who lost a close race to Austin Scrafford lor Washington county school su perintendent in the May pri mary. Neglected Te File Warner, grade scheol princi pal at Timber, failed to file his campaign expenses before tak ing off on an extended campaign trip in Canada. Deadline for fil ing was last Monday and a whop ping $25 a day fine could be levied against Warner for every day he is delinquent in report ing his expenses. Since informed of the matter by District Attorney G. Russell Morgan, Warner's friends have been frantically trying to find out how much he spent so they can file for him. They can t find Warner and have the Canadian Mounted police looking for him. The Mounties are trying to locate Warner, his wife and two chil drcn by checking places where he purchased supplies. Quite a Problem "It's turned into quite a little problem," said Paul Dayton, Warner's close friend. "He might decide to stay an extra week, be cause he doesn t have to be back for three weeks to meet a sum- Show, Music Planned Af Father-Son Dinner A magician's show and special musical numbers will be fea tured at the annual father and son banquet at the Presbyterian church. The banquet, scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 12, is sponsored by the Presbyterian Men's club. William Sherwood is chair man of the banquet committee. Other committee members are LeRoy Fleming, Fred Gatter, Harold Snodgrass and Jim De Coursey. Faith circle will pre pare the dinner.
