Mil Grand Guardians Visit Bethel Here; Miss Pond Elected Several honored guests were here for a recent meeting of Medford bethel of Job' Dauch tors. Election of officers and in stallation of a guardian council were held. Among the guests were Mrs. Mamie Wilson, Myrtle Creek, grand guardian of Oregon, and Roy Colburn, grand outer guard Roseburg. Others were Mrs. Ow ens, of Colorado, past grand guardian; Andrew Stevens, Ash land, grand associate guardian, and Mrs. C. D. Elhart, Ashland, past grand guardian. Mrs. Wilson installed the guardian council' assisted by Mr. Colburn, Mrs. Elhart, Mrs. Ow ens, Mrs. Colburn, Mrs. Faber and Mrs. F. H. Evernham. Taking office were Mrs. Wen del Spence, guardian; L. R, Man ning, associate guardian; Mrs. Robert M. Hamilton, secretary; Mrs. Chester L. Bourne, treas urer; Mrs. H. J. Masterson. guardian of music and Mrs. Charles Turner, guardian of hos pitality. Other guardians include Mrs Henry H. Halvorscn, sociability; Mrs. Lloyd L. Caton, parapner nalia; Mrs. V. M. Califf, finance and Mrs. Ole Skoog, publicity. Bethel officers for the coming term are Miss Johneva Pond queen; Miss Shirley Johnson, senior princess; Miss Sandra Hubbard- junior princess; Miss Eleanor Liebbrand, guide, and Miss Barbara Roach, marshal. Special entertainment and re freshments followed the meet ing. Plan Dinner The summer home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ward on the Rogue river near Gold Hill will be the scene May 26 of a covered dish dinner for FL club members, The 6:30 p.m. dinner will pre cede a business meeting. (Brainerd photo) Grand Officers Pay Visit To Central Point Bethel Central Point Mrs. Mamie Wilson, grand guardian for Job's Daughters of Oregon, was honored guest at the regular meeting of Jobs Daughters of Central Point, Thursday evening, at the Masonic hall in Central Point. Mrs. Wilson installed the guardian council lor the ensuing year, and the fourth birthday of the bethel and friendship night were observed. Abbott, associ ate guardian; Mrs. Everett Faber, guardian secretary, to be as sisted by Mrs. Victor Noel; Mrs. Isabel Ross, guardian treasurer; Mrs. Charles Meyer, guardian of music, to be assisted by Mrs. Norman Gail; Mrs. Lawrence Smith, promoter of finance, to be assisted by Mrs. Paul Snook: Mrs. Paul Jones, promoter of sociability, to be assisted by Mrs. G. E. Morse; Mrs. Homer Conger, promoter of hospitality, to be assisted by Mrs. David Turner; Mrs. Carl von Buskirk, promoter of publicity, to be as sisted by Mrs. A. W. Servold; and Mrs. Merritt Swing, promot er of arrangements. Mrs. Wilson was assisted in the installation ceremonies by Mr. Colburn, Mrs. Young, Mrs. Elhart, Mrs. VanVleet and Mrs. Colburn. Many birthday greetings were read by the bethel secretary. The program consisted of a skit by three girls from the Medford bethel, accordion numbers by Miss Barbara Ilild of Ashland and vocal numbers by Miss Joan Henderson, bethel soloist. Three addenda arranged by Miss Snook honored Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. D. Ray Allred, retiring guardian of the Central Point bethel and Mrs. Noel, who built the tables for the drill given at Roseburg. Birthday cake and other re freshments were served by Sher rill von Buskirk, Alice Martin, Joan Henderson, Gwen Mnore, Nadra Moore, Mrs. Earl Moore and Mrs. Martin. Department Head Visits Auxiliaries At Meeting Here Mrs. Flora lu. Fields, Portland. President of the Department of Oregon, United Spanish War Veterans auxiliary, made her of-, iicial visit to Colonel Sargent auxiliary of Medford, and Rogue River auxiliary of Grants Pass at a joint meeting of the two auxiliaries held at Eedmen hall last Sunday. Other state officers honored at the meeting were the vice-president, Mrs. Mary Harding, As toria; the conductor, Mrs. Don Anderson, Medford and Mrs. Mary J. Schuler, color. Rogue River. Mrs. Harry Barneburg, past department president, pre sented Mrs. Fields with a gift from the two auxiliaries. Cor sages were presented to the de partment and auxiliary officers. The meeting was preceded by j a dinner supervised by Mrs. ! Frank Widner.
