Ford, Western regional director of the National Association of Evan gelicals, will be guest speaker at Medford Free Methodist church Sunday morning. Mr. Ford has just returned to the West coast from the nation al convention of the NAE in Chicago, April 13-18. Included on the program of the conven tion were such leaders as Dr. Billy Graham, Dr. Robert Cook of Youth for Christ and Dr. Leslie Marston, bishop of the Free Methodist church. Mr. Ford's visit will give the people of Medford an oppor tunity to share in the Inspiration of this convention, according to Pastor R. J. Cox. Alta., Canada, will be at the Church of the Nazarene at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, and at First Baptist church at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 4. Their service at the Nazarene church will be under auspices of the Rogue Valley Youth for Christ. The team is headed by the Rev. Will Bruce, institute field representative, who Is speaker for the party. Others are Harry Brobst, New Jorsey; Ed Oman, Manitoba; Joe Hartt, Washing ton; Leslie Thompson, Pennsyl vania, and Bruce Adams, British Columbia. Variety of Music A variety of music is pro vided by the group. Mr. Bruce was formerly di rector of San Diego Youth for Christ and was among those who led the last three city-wide gospel crusades in that commun ity. Before entering the minis try, Mr. Bruce was traffic man- I ager for Armour and company ! in Los Angeles. He entered full j time ministry In 1945. I Each of the young men of the group is planning definitely to participate in full-time Chris tian service. Four of them are looking to the foreign mission field. Women of church and friends Invited- Deputation Team 01 Presbyterians Here This Week A deputation team from the First Presbyterian church, Ber keley, and the University of California will be at First Pres byterian church here this weekend. Special activities under the leadership of these 10 students will begin Friday at 6:30 p.m. with a potluck supper for junior and senior high groups. A Satur day outing at TouVelle park will start at 1:30 p.m. A picnic sup per will follow ball games. The Junior and senior high youth groups will be led by deputation team members at 6:30 p. m. Sunday. Family Problem The Rev. D. K. West, pastor of the Medford church, will speak on "How Do You Solve Family Problems?" at the 11 a. m. serv ice Sunday. His topic at the 7:30 p. m. service will be "Am I My Brother's Keeper?" The Presbyterian junior church was reorganized recently under direction of Mrs. E. C. Corn. It meets at 11 a. m. each Sunday. There are four to seven and eight to 11-year age groups. Objective is to teach the chil dren how to worship. Parents are invited to bring and leave their children while they attend the adult services. The young adults will meet at the home of Pauline Champline, 420 South Central street, at 8:30 p.m. Stan Merrill will be discus sion leader. Salem Minister Friends Speaker Sunday will mark the close of the evangelistic meetings at the Friends church. They began Wednesday. Evangelist Edward Harmon, pastor of Highland Friends church, Salem, will speak to night, Saturday evening and at the 11 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. wor ship services Sunday. The public is invited. Mr. Harmon has had wide ex perience in evangelistic and pas toral work in the northwest. Music will be furnished by groups from the local church. and will continue through May 11. The Rev. Ralph M. Starr is evangelist for these evening meetings. Mr. Starr has traveled around the world and has taken pictures showing conditions of people in other countries. He will show some of these pictures on Thurs day, May 8. The public is invited to the services.
