Central Accident Alan Har per, Junction City, and Fred Herbert Wilcox, route one, box 441A, Medford, were involved in an automobile accident at 119 South Central avenue on April 26, according to the Medford police department. Auloj Collide A non-injury automobile collision occurred on East ninth street last Saturday, police said. Drivers of the cars involved were listed as Mildred Muriel Howard, 331 Crater Lake avenue, and Lawrence GoVdon Youmans, 1610 Thomas road. Mildred Howard was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way, police reported. She -was in Havana on Easter Sunday, and made the trip by bus with the exception of her flight to Cuba. Mrs. Stan ley was accompanied dh the trip by three friends from Portland. Visit Here Mr. and Mrs. Law rence Wilson and three-months-old daughter, Deborah, San Jose, Calif., are visiting friends and relatives here this week. Flynn Visitors Guests this week at the Chester Parker home South Pacific highway are Mr. and Mrs. Howard Pickering, Fallbrook Calif. They operate lemon and avocado groves there. Both are former Medford residents. He formerly was employed by the California Oregon Power com pany. Mrs. Pickering is the for mer Miss Aieleen Parker. Last week Mrs. Andy Parks, the for mer Miss Thelma Kenworthy was a visitor at the Parkers Dance Callers Allen Howard and John Niedermeyer will be the callers for the Jacksonville Rebekah lodge square dance benefit May 2, lodge officers said today. Howard is from Keno, Ore., and is a well-known nortlv west square danoe caller. The benefit dance proceeds will be used toward sending two high school students from this Odd Fellows lodge district to the United Nations Pilgrimage dur ing the summer. Answer Alarms Medford firemen answered three alarms during the past 24-hour period, they reported today. At 2:11 p.m. Monday they were called to Lil enquist Motors, 1016 North Riv erside, where a truck had been ignited by a- cutting torch, -they said. Damage was caused to the cab and tank of the truck. An oveisioated oil stove at 412 King street at 11:07 p.m. caused no damage, they added, and the third call was to the junction of South Riverside and Central avenues, to wash down a gaso line spill caused by a car acci dent. Honorman The graduating recruits of a recent class at the San Diego, Cali., Navy training center, chose Kenneth L. Brown, wavy apprentice, as their "Hon orman." He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Orrin L. Brown, 1203 Queen Ann avenue, and entered the service Dec. 14, 1951. Before that he attended Oregon State college. The honormen are ref lected by a vote of the company membership on the basis of lead ership, sportsmanship, military bearing, initiative, response to orders, qualifications of good shipmate and application to re cruit training. Janet Young, 10, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Young, 45 Modoc avenue, left for her home today. She had been at the hospital for several days because of emergency surgery.
