program.
Each Sunday special empha
sis will be made concerning the
church and spiritual life. The
services, of interest to both old
and new members, are designed
to give insight into the spiritual
resources of the Bible and to
make application of them to
present day living.

Reception of new members will
be emphasized throughout the
period. A total of 211 persons
have joined the church in recent
months.
Snack Suppers
Each Sunday in May the con
gregation will have a snack sup
per followed by a program for
kindergarten through adult
groups. There will be a nursery
for small children.

LEADS REVIVAL SERVICES The Rev. Ralph M, Starr will
be evangelist for revival meetings starting at First Church of God
on Sunday, April 27. He will preach at the 10:45 a.m. Sunday
service and at 7:30 p.m. each day, except Saturdays, through May
11. Mr. Starr plays the trumpet and sings. He will show pictures
of the Orient. He was gradudated from Anderson college, Ander
son, Ind.

national average of divorce is

V. Gadola directed an innocent
verdict for Joseph Soja, accused
of paying for a car with a post
dated check for $2,550, although
he had only $3.50 In the bank.
The car was purchased Sept. 21,
1951 and Soja dated his check
for the following day. Gadola
ruled that a post-dated check ia
merely a promise to pay and not
grounds for a criminal charge of
writing a check with insufficient
funds.
