A clean building seldom burns. Report Suspicions 2 Do not be an amateur FBI agent, but if you see any in stances of subversive action re port them to nearest police sta tion or sheriff's office. 3 After a disaster, disregard rumors heard on street corners. 4 After an emergency, re main at home. Highways will be used by emergency vehicles head ed toward stricken areas. 5 Stay off the telephone dur ing an emergency. 6 Take a first aid or home' nursing course from your local Red Cross chapter. Have Emergency Food 7 Set aside three to five days' food supply for emergency use only. 8 After an air raid alert, those in metropolitan areas should shut off household appli ances, such as un-plugging irons and turning off stove burners, just as if they were leaving for a day. Do not turn off main switches. Basement is safest spot for shelter. Even a study desk or table is better than nothing. U. , Prices of Dairy Products To Go Up Washington UB The Agri culture Department has warned housewives that prices of dairy products will go up this year. It also forecast that per capita milk production will be the low est on record. The department said that for the first time in history the num ber of milk cows in the country has declined while the number of beef cattle has increased. As a result dairy products are one of the few groups of farm commodi ties that are bringing farmers higher prices today than a year ago. Last month, at-the-farm prices for dairy products were up 9 per cent from a year ago while prices received by farmers for beef cat tle were down 7 per cent. Retail milk prices recently have shown a 7 per cent gain from a year ago. Newbry hat charged Portland city and Mult nomah county police authorities with laxity In enforcing the laws about auto license plat renew als. Newbry said that last Decem ber 21 he notified heads of those agencies) that he had received several complaints from Portland pointing out cases of motor ve hicles operating In Multnomah county with delinquent license plates. He asked the cooperation of those agencies m correcting the situation but said he has had no replies from the heads of the agencies or from state police. Left to City Force Newbry said he had been told that state police do not operate within the city of Portland but leave all enforcement to the Portland city police department and the Multnomah county sher iffs office.
