In Tillamook, she was married to Elmer D. Hoag. who died In 1938. She was a member of the First Chris tian church In Tillamook. Survivors Include a Leo. Prospect: a daughter. Mrs. Ev elyn Cobum. Bingham. 802 West 11th street, hss accepted the chair manship of the Red Cross first aid program In Jackson county, according to county Chapter Chairman Ed Branchfield. Bingham succeeds Robert Dames, who hss resigned be cause of private duties. He is es pecially fitted for the position, having been active In the safety program since 1940 when he be came a first aid instructor, Branchfield said. A veteran of World War It with three years service In the European theatre, Bingham is an employee of the Pacific Tele phone and Telegraph company. He and his wife. (UJO A strike of employees of the A. F. Lowes mill, largest lumber operation in Clackamas county, was set tled Thursday after they vot ed to return to work for a five cent an hour wage Increase. Some 125 men walked out last Thursday demanding a 47 Vi cent raise. Mill operators said work would not resume until Monday because part of the operation had been dismantled for repairs when the workers left their jobs.
