He suffered the injury when he fell from his beiyele, his mother said. a a a - Advanced Everett J. Hannah, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Han nah, Route 1, Eagle Point, re cently was advanced in rate to Navy constructionman, accord ing to a Navy release. He is at tached to the construction bat talion detachment at the Navy station, Sangley Point, Cavite, Philippines. He is a 1950 Eagle Point high school graduate and enlisted in the Navy in Febru ary, 1951. a a Oregon Students Lynn Cram, Medford IOOF officer and Ore gon Grand lodge officer, said today that there will be 14 Ore gon students who will partici pate in the United Nations pil grimage to New York in July, according to the present plan. Tucker, 412 West 11th street, minor surgery. Obituary CORNELIUS SWEENEY Remains of Cornelius B. Swee ney, 63, who died at Camp White Friday, will be forwarded to night to Portland for interment in Willamette National ceme tery. Services were held today in Conger-Morris Chapel. Mr. Sweeney was borne June 6, 1888, in Freeport, Pa. He was a veteran of World War I, serv ing from March 13, 1917, to May 20, 1919. as a corporal, Co. "E, 103rd Supply Train, 28th Division. He Is survived by a nephew, P. R. Sweeney, New Braunfels, Tex. CHARLES K. SKEETERS Services for Charles Francis Skeeters, 85, who died Tuesday, will be held in Conijer-Morris Chapel Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Meredith Groves officiating. Committal will be in IOOF cemetery. Mr. Skeeters was born Aug. 11, 1866, in Jackson county, and had lived here all his life. On Oct. 9, 1895, in Kerby, Ore., he married Julia Scranton, who sur vives. His parents were Oregon pioneers, coming here at the time of the gold rush. He was known as one of the early old time fiddlers, and violin mak ing was his hobby. Other survivors include a daughter. Mrs. Marjorie Skeet ers Hopkins, Medford; a sister, Mrs. Lea Martin, Waldport, Ore.; one grandson, and several neph ews and nieces. If desired, friends may make a memorial contribution to the Southern Oregon Pioneer society in lieu of sending flowers.
