Mrs. Bob Harp, sister of Lewis Dusenberry of Trail Is moving to Bellvail, 111, to live and to be with her husband, who is sta tioned there in the Air Force. " Mrs. Harp and Mrs. Stanley Del gado of Central Point, another sister of Lewis Dusenberry, were recent visitors at the Du senberry home. Mr. and Mrs. Roland Smith of Central Point spent Sunday evening as guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack McCoy of Shady Cove. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ross of Shady Cove were hosts at their home on February 23 with a din ner and party marking the joint birthdays of Jack Ross and Mrs. L. B. Leabo, both of Shady Cove. The birthday cake was baked by Mrs. Ross. Present were Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Leabo, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Segessenman and daugh ter, Mary; Mr. and Mrs. Bert Conner, daughter Joyce and son Henry, all of Shady Cove; Mrs. Minnie Blaess of Medford, Mrs. Frank Kula of Trail, Mr. and Mrs. Lou Geppert of Butte Falls and the host and hostess, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Ross. Mrs. Tom Burdett Jr. and children, Thelma, Melvin and Brian of Oak Harbor, Wash., have moved to Shady Cove and are living at the Roguedale court to be near her relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Burdett, while her husband. Chief Tom Burdett, is in San- Diego preparatory to going overseas in April. Two of the children, Thelma and Mel vin, are enrolled at Shady Cove school. A group of friends surprised Bob Jones of Trail at the Jones' home on the occasion of his birthday, March 1, and a chick en dinner was served with the following friends present: Mr. and Mrs. Preston Smallwood and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brewer of Shady Cove and Mrs. J. B. McWhorter of Trail. Tony Miller of Trail is clear ing brush off the point above Trail, where his homesite is, preparatory to building. There will be a public auc tion with Col. Burns, acting as auctioneer, on Sunday, March 9, starting at noon at Braugh ton's on the Crater Lake high way in Shady Cove. Mr. and Mrs. Braughton have sold their property and are moving to El Monte, Cal., an" the auction will be of their furniture and personal effects. The HEC la dies of the Shady Cove Grange will have a refreshment booth serving doughnuts and coffee. The Rev. Boudoin and family, pastor of the Trail Community church, are now occuping the Braughton residence. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Learning and family of Shady Cove plan to vacation for several days in Vancouver, Wash., where they will visit Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Allen and also be in Salem, where Mrs. Learning is to bowl In the state bowling tournament for two days. Both Mrs. Dale Sawyer of Shady Cove and Mrs. Clyde Stafford of Trail who underwent operations at about the same time at hospitals in Medford, are now at home and convalesc ing nicely. Mr., and Mrs. Claude Lewin i of Medford were Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Lewin of Shady Cove. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Clark of Trail have now added registered rabbits on their ranch. Junior Chamber The Med ford Junior Chamber of Com merce will hold a regular meet ing Tuesday, March 11, at 6:30 p.m. in the Pioneer room of the Jackson hotel. A speaker has; been tentatively scheduled for the dinner meeting and enter tainment has been arranged by I the program committee.
