rean and UN ribbons. The 23lst
engineer combat battalion, of
which he now is a member, was
one of the key participants in the
atomic experiments conducted
last fall on Yucca flats near Las
Vegas, Nev.

Woman Injurod Mrs. A. Hed
lund, former Medford resident
now living hi Clackamas county,
was injured in an automobile ac
cident Sunday, March 2, accord
ing to information received here
from relatives. Mrs. Hedlund had
attended services at the small
non denominational church
which she helped to organize, ac
cording to the report,, and on
leaving the building was . struck
by a backing car and pinned between-
it and another vehicle.
She is confined to the Oregon
City hospital with a fractured
pelvis bone and other injuries
and will be bedfast for six or
eight weeks, it was stated. Mrs.
Hedlund is the mother of Mrs.
R. W. Childreth and Al Gould,
both former Medford residents.

high school auditorium last night

riety from the hilarious and
ridiculous to the sublime and
sentimental. Its songs, dances,
gags, spectacles and colorful
costuming stir almost every emo

Don Phelps of Crater high
school, were a popular trio.
