Keys : For Art Entries ' Two Medford Senior High school students, Miss Celia Clog ston and Mis Doris Powell, have been awarded gold key by Scholastic Magazine for out standing achievement in art The competition is an annual one for student artists. ' Miss Ciogston, a junior in the school, won two gold key awards, both on watercolor paintings. Miss Powell, a senior, won a gold key for a tempera painting, an abstraction of a chair. Th three paintings will now be sent to Pittsburgh, Pa., to be Judged in the national contest with winners from other states. The two students and Miss Jac queline Rosling. city schools art supervisor, drove to Portland for the award ceremony. They attended the '-opening of the James Edward Peck exhibit at Ruthermore galleries and viewed the Scholastic "exhibit in Meier and Frank's store. They also toured art galleries and museums in Portland in addition to attend ing the award ceremony. Miss Pat Smith, a student at the University of Oregon, is vis iting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Girard, at Camp White. The Girards are on the staff of the veterans domiciliary. Miss Smith will spend about a month here, and will return to the university for spring term. Music and tap danc ing will round out the program The cast for "Sparkin " is composed of Josie Rambo, Char lene Ferguson, Louise Hughes and Lee Jolliffe and the plot centers around a deaf pipe-smoking granny who interferes with romance. The cast for "Pickles Is Pick les" is composed of Gene Wright, Dwight Fredenburg, Barbara El lis, Marlene Casey and Beth Ab bott The plot of this play con cerns a domineering maiden aunt and her meek brother, and the romance of their niece. There is also the mystery of the glamorous movie star to thicken the plot. Amaranth Members To Attend Session A large delegation of valley members of Roxy Anne court.
