Lofland, who recently sold their home on Table Rock road, have returned after visiting for about 30 days In La Grande with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. L. E, Tucker. Mrs. Tucker is a former resident here. While there they also visited many old friends. The Loflands have for merly lived in La Grande. Mrs. Fisher left for Portland where she will visit other relatives. Toot Amputated Jack John son, 19, Grants Pass, is reported Is be in satisfactory condition at Community hospital following amputation of a foot there as a result of a motorcycle-car collis ion near Cave Junction, Thurs day. First treated at Josephine county hospital the young man was sent here for further treat ment and the amputation which was made Saturday. D. E. Millard officiating. Committal services will be in I, O, O, F. cemetery, Mrs. Richardson was born in Leon, la.. May 11, 1856. At the age of 6, with her parents, the late Arnold and 8arah Childers, she crossed the plains by ox team, settling at Santa Rosa, Cal, Here, in August, 1876, she was united in marriage to John Rich ardson, who preceded her in death. In 1881, she moved to Ta coma, living there until 1803, when she moved to Medford. In 1906, she moved to a farm on the Laurelhurst road, above Trail, where they built their home, and lived there until her death, Surviving are two ions, Roy, Los Angeles, and Carl, Trail; three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great-1 great. granddaughter.
