Mrs. Glenn Black, Juvenile Grange matron, reported the weiner roast and swimming party held by Juvenile Grange nuge success, and suggested that the Subordinate Grange sponsor three delegates to attend Grange summer camp in Bend, in August. H.E.C. expressed will ingness to finance the delegates. Sayde pierson and Pitt Penny were reappointed on the com munity chest committee. Henry Tjoeiker, overseer, was appointed in charge of the Grange picnic tentatively set for Sunday, July 9. on the beach at the Glenn Black ranch on West Evans creek for Grangers and their families and Juvenile Grangers. Master Carl Chrlstenson an nounced the rural fire district had been approved by the coun ty court, and that five directors must be appointed. Petitions are to be circulated and each di rector named must have 15 sig natures on the petition. ! First and second degrees will Five Valley Men to Enter U.S. Air Force Five Rogue valley men enlist ed in the United states air force this week, according to TVSgt. Gene F. Davis, non-commissioned officer In charge of the re cruiting office here. They are Vernon J. Frieze, Central Point: Ernest E. Burgess, Mllo M. Randall, and Glen D. Potter, all of Eagle Point, and Norman E. Demlng, Medford. Sergeant Davis said that the enlistment quota for the air force in June is "wide open" and processing has been simplified, enabling faster enlistment pro cedure from Medford. Qualifications on the mental test have been lowered for this month only, Davis reported. be put on June 22. All members having candidates were urged to contact them as this Is the last opportunity to take part In the state membership contest. Other Granges having candi dates were invited. Mrs. Myers, adviser and Don na Nealon, leader, instructed the newer members in how to use the record book. It was agreed that 4-H t-shirts be worn by members at the county fair in August.
