"It really will," Patricia f bienz sain. "ii 9J grows hair on bald heads so fej fast you can Himusi near 'em pop out!" Word had gotten around that Miss Stenz had something pretty sensational in her swanky Vine street salon-for-men-only. We had to wade through a sea ot shiny-topped males with hope in their hearts to get a peek at this "miracle machine." It looks a little like a junior atom-smasher with all its wires and chrome strips and gadgets and sprouting stream jets. But she doesn't mind explain ing how it turns baldies into happy men with hair. Misty Spray "It sends out a misty spray of oxygen, ozone, and ultra-violet ray," she said. "This gets right down in the scalp and opens all the pores that have been keep ing the hairs from getting out. "Once the pores are open MacPHERSON CrrMpond.nt boom! Out come the hairs. And long ones, too. I'm so excited about it! It's the darndest thing I ever saw!" Miss Stenz is a vivacious little redhead. She is also an enthus iastic salesman. We neered at half a dozen "ozoned" scalps and darned if it didn't look like there were long hairs growing where there'd been blank spots 20 min utes before. (One of these blank spots be longed to our old man, and if this gadget does all Miss Stenz proclaims it will, we'll love her forever.) Hair Needs Food "Once we get 'em out," she went on, "we feed 'em. Growing hair is just like growing a gar den. You have to give your plants oxygen and food or they'll die on you. "My food solution is a mix ture of hormones, minerals, vit amins, glandular elements, and a mild irritant. This is to start the normal pulsating process. "It's very important to keep pulsating. That's what keeps the hair growing." But it's expensive to be beau tiful fellas. You have to shell out five bucks per treatment, plus about $16 for the Stenz kit of hair "food." Associate justices of the su preme court receive $25,000 a year salary. The chief justice receives $25,500. Honors Conferred On British Subjects London, June 9 (U.R) King George VI celebrated his official birthday yesterday by conferring honors on hundreds of persons in the British Empire, including a radio quiz master and a steeplejack. He created seven new barons, giving them seats in the house of lords, and made 29 men knights, entitling them to the title of "Sir." Actually the king won't cele brate a birthday until Decem ber 14. when he will be 55, but he traditionally awards honors on New Year's day and on his official birthday, which is cele brated in June. Cottage Grove, Wis. (U.R) This village is looking for a man with unlimited ambition and twice as much energy. He would fill a job the village voters de cided to establish in the last election. The job calls for "a man to work on a yearly salary to do street work, care of park, town hall, fire station, water pumping station, flushing of water mains, hauling rubbish, etc." Riverside Motors To Move to New Quarters Oscar Larson. The company has been located on South Riverside avenue and the new location will be at the southwest corner of Central ave nue and Jackson street.
