The Rev. C. J. Linehan officiated. The bride is a daiiRhtcr of Mrs. Sam Boussum of Phoenix and Mr. Scott's parenti are Mr. and Mrs. Edward Scott of Medford. For the ceremony she wore a suit of pastel pink with a cor sage of white roses. Mrs. Shirley Larsen, sister of the bridegroom, was matron-of-honor. She wore a pastel blue suit and her flowers were pink rosebuds. Rodolfo Bucclo of Phoenix, brother-in-law of the bride, was best man. The newlyweds are living In Medford and the bride will be graduated from Central Point nigh school June 8. Medford Garden Club Holds Final Meeting; New Officers Preside Mrs. R. T. NIchol presided as installing oinccr at tnc nnai meeting of the Medford Garden club for the season, held in the YMCA building recently. Mrs. W. A. Freeland, the new presi dent, and her staff presided at the meeting following their In stallation. Each new officer was given a corsage of flowers rep resenting the character of her new duties, and for each officer a candle was lighted in a floral table centerpiece. Mrs. A. C. Lelghlon, retiring firesldent, was given a vote of hanks for her year's work. Each officer's work was reviewed and commended. After the business meeting the Mothers' chorus of Roosevelt Parent-Teacher association gave several choral numbers. Tea chairman for the affair was Mrs. L. A. Mcntzer, assisted by Mrs. H. F. Cope, Mrs. Wal ter H. Jones, Mrs. M. E. Newman and Mrs. Herman Ekerson. The tea table was centered with pink roses and clematis of lavendar hues. Pink candles, crystal and silver completed its setting. Mis. Leinhton and Mrs. Free land poured. Guests for the afternoon In cluded Mrs. Arthur C. Sunders, Medford; Miss Mildred Crane. Roney, both of Med ford, announce their marriage on May 15 In Grants Pass. The newlyweds are living at Dr. Roney's home on the Rogue river near Savage Rapids dam. Both have lived in Medford many years, and Dr. Roney practiced medicine here fnr about 15 years before his re tirement. Mrs. Ronev reeonllu v,n, a partner with F. J. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hers chel E. Morris, 516 Belmont street, and the bridegroom's par ents are Mr. and Mrs. Wallace A. Freeland, Beall lane. The Rev. George R. V. Bol ster officiated for the rites, held at 10:30 o'clock In the morning, and Mr. Morris gave his daugh ter in marriage, aooui is guests were present. The bride's white satin wed ding gown was designed with long sleeves and a snort train and her veil was finger-tip lenEth. She carried a white or chid on a white prayer book. Miss Caroline Freeland. sister of the bridegroom, was maid-of-honor. Her gown was of pink net worn with pink mitts and a lit tle pink hat. Her bouquet was of Cecil Brunner roses and valley lilies. Nell E. Morris. Portland, broth er of the bride, was best man for Mr. Freeland and John Lloyd and Peyton Newcomb seated the guests. A reception followed In the parish house. Mrs. Merton S. Lys ter and Mrs. George Moses, the latter of Klamath Falls, poured, and Mrs. C. O. Webber and Mrs. Frank Little cut and served the wedding cake. Mrs. Fred Rehl- ing took charge of the guest book. tor the wedding the brides mother wore a dress of aquama rine colored sheer with black jacket and black accessories and her corsage was of bronze rose buds. The bridegroom's mother wore a suit of navy blue with pink accessories and her flow ers were pink rosebuds. wnite stock decorated the church altar for the ceremony. and on the chancel rail were ar rangements of white cranberry. spirea and white peonies. For tne reception the brides table was arranged with mixed white blossoms and crystal candelabra holding white tapers. The punch table held a bowl and cups of early American glass. Mixed bouquets of pastel col ored roses, Russel lupine and iris were used about the room. Mr. Freeland and his bride made a wedding trip to the Ore gon coast and will live in Med ford. The bride is a member of this year's graduating class of Medford senior high school and the bridegroom attended How ard Payne college of Brownwood, Tex., following his graduation from school here. In Medford for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. George Moses and Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Suther land, Klamath Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. Arlle Kennerly Sr., Roseburg. 1 Former Residents Here As Guests of Friends Miss Elizabeth McKay. 316 Crater Lake avenue, has as her vititors, Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Clark, San Diego. Cal. The Clarks are former Medford resi dents and have many friends here. The couple is beginning their third trip of the United States and plan to tour points of inter est throughout the country for the year. From here they will leave for Yellowstone park where they expect to stay about a month. They then plan to visit Glacier National park. The Misses Margaiet Bis mark and Joanna Bouldin were hostesses. Games were Dlaved. followed by opening of gifts and serving of refreshments. Guests included Mrs. Jim Hen ry, Mrs. Otto King, Mrs. Dean Dorman. Mrs. uean Keuey, wrs. Willard Buchanan, Mrs. J. W. Ragsdale, Mrs. John Davis and the Misses Fern Davis, Faye Lar son, Dorothy rung. Joanne Swatzlander. the hostesses and honored guest. Miss Davis Is a daughter ot Mr. and Mrs. John Davis of Tal ent and her fiance is a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Ragsdale, Trail. The wedding has been set for this month. The bride-elect is a staff mem ber of the First National bank, Medford. The couple will live in Prospect, where Mr. Ragsdale Is engaged In the lumber business. Church Rites Wed Marjorie St. Clair And Navy Radioman A mid-May wedding was that of Miss Marjorie Jean St. Clair, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. St. Clair, 613 Bartlett street, Medford, to John O. Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. O. E. John son of Omaha. Neb. The cere mony was held May IS at 8 p m. in First Christian church, with the Rev. Holly Roy Jarvis read ing the service. Mr. St. Clair gave his daugh ter in marriage. The minister also sang, with Miss Verene Bailey as accom panist. For her wedding the bride wore a pink afternoon dress and carried a bouquet of pink rose buds and sweet peas. Miss Vir gle St. Clair was attendant for her sister. She wore a yellow afternoon dress, and her flowers were a corsage of purple sweet peas. William Fowen was rjesi man for Mr. Johnson, and Frank Quigley and William A. Lowery were ushers. The reception which followed the ceremony was at the bride's home. Miss Virgie St. Clair cut the wedding cake, and Miss Wanda Lofland poured. About 30 guests were present. Bouquets of snowballs and pink tamarisk decorated the church, and purple iris were used for the reception decora tions. Following a short wedding trip north, the couple left for National City, Cal., where the bridegroom is stationed with the navy. He is a radioman. The bride attended senior high school before the wedding and the bridegroom attended high school and college in Ne braska. Graduates Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Fogel- quist were in Oakland. Ore Thursday night to attend gradu ation ceremonies of Oakland high school. Their daughter. Miss Mae Fogelquist. was a member of the class, and return' ed home with her parents. Maxwell, East Main street, Medford, be came the bride of Vance Eugene Adams, a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Adams, Jacksonville, May 26. The ceremony took place at 8 p.m. in the Methodist church, Ashland, with the Rev. Robert Mcllvenna officiating. For her wedding the bride wore a white lace gown, and carried a white orchid on a white Bible. She was given in mar riage by Ted Kinney, Ashland. Mrs. Ted Kinney, as matron of honor, wore a mist green gown. Her flowers were pink and white carnations with white roses. Wedding music was furnished by the Misses Marilyn Jantzer and Barbara Ridgeway, accom panied by Miss Elizabeth Dress ier. Robert Van Galder, Jack sonville, acted as best man, Ushers were Charles Kinney and James Burr. About 50 guests attended the wedding, and reception which was held in the Ted Kinney home. Mrs. V. E. Noel, aunt of the bride, cut the wedding cake. Mrs. E. L. Adams, mother of the bridegroom, poured coffee and Mrs. A. C. Van Galder, aunt of the bridegroom, presided at the punch bowl. Roses and other spring flow ers were used to decorate the church and the Kinney home. The bride's table was lace cov ered and was centered with white candles and floral center piece. The bride is a graduate of Ashland high school and has since been employed by the Pa cific Telephone and Telegraph company in Medford. The bridegroom attended Southern Oregon college and Is a graduate of Jacksonville high school. He is employed by the California Oregon Power com pany, Medford. Miss Laural Jewett Jo Be Installed Queen Central Point Bethel Central Point Miss Laural Jewett was elected queen of the Central Point bethel, Job's Daughters, at the last meeting of the group. Miss Jewett is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. P. Jewett. Miss Caroline Freeland was elected senior princess; Miss Esther Snook, junior princess; Miss Nancy Mallon, guide and Miss Marian Smith, marshal. Miss Lyman Home From Island Stay Miss Mary Lou Lyman arrived in the valley last week to visit her parents. Mr. and Mrs. L. G Lyman. Miss Lyman has been in Honolulu, Hawaii, for the past three years, having been with the Hawaiian Medical Service association, Hawaiian counter part of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Miss Lyman made the trip nome Dy plane. Expected here today are Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd G. Lyman Jr., who have both been attending senool at the University of Cal- norma. Berkeley, and the Ly mans plan a family reunion and vacation at their ranch home on the South Umpqua river. Later Miss Lyman will leave for Camp Somerset, Maine, where she will be on the camp office staff for the summer. D. Scrlpter, 727 West Fourth street. En route they will stop In Salem for a visit with Mrs. Prlckett's brother and sister-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Scrlpter, and will then continue to utica, o. During her stay Mrs. Prickett was honored at a number of luncheons, card parties and din ners. Mrs. Alton Hayes gave a luncheon for the visitor at her home on East Ninth street, and Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Bennett entertained at a dinner, followed by canasta, at their home on Griffin Creek road. Mr. and Mrs. G. C. Winner were hosts for a dinner and bridge party at their home on Quince street, and Mrs. Scripter entertained at a luncheon and canasta party for her daughter. More recent events include a luncheon at the home of Mrs. Carl Pearson, 118 Clark street, with Mrs. Randy Hugdatjl as hostess, with canasta following. Guests numbered 12 and prizes went to Mrs. Lowell Edwards, Mrs. Donald O'Brien, Mrs. Horace Bittle, Mrs. Jack Hens ley and Mrs. Robert Davis. Last Monday Mrs. Ed Pease was hostess for a luncheon at the Rogue Valley country club which honored the visitor, and Saturday night Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bennett were hosts for a dinner for Mrs. Prickett. enter taining at their home on West Eleventh street. Mrs. Meeker Guest At Tea Saturday; Will Leave Tonight Mrs. Clarence A. Meeker was honored Saturday afternoon at a tea given by Mrs. Everett Faber at the Faber's home in Central Point. Mrs. Meeker, who made her home here until a few months ago. is now editor of the Methodist Woman with offices in New York City. Appointments for the tea were in pink and silver, and white Japanese iris and pink rose buds centered the tea table. Pouring were Mrs. J. S. Heather Ington and Mrs. G. A. Dierdorff, and Mrs. George Watson re ceived at the door. Mrs. Don Faber and Mrs. Marjorie Hop kins assisted the hostess. About 50 guests were present for the tea.
