Medford Artist
To Show Pictures
Clifford Platz, Medford artist.
has been Invited to exhibit at
the Rubin gallery and studio in
Longview, Wash.
Virginia B. Rubin, director of
the gallery, has written that the
gallery will be available June 9
through June 30, and has asked
Mr. Platz to submit about 20
paintings. He works in both oils
and water colors, as well as the
new casein paint.
Mr. Platz only began to paint
in recent years and was much
encouraged recently because of
comments on his paintings ex
hibited at the Oregon Society of
Artists annual spring show in
Portland. A Portland critic, and
several members of the society,
commented that Mr. Platz' work
showed more improvement dur
ing the year than that of any
other member of the society
whose works were displayed.
The Rubin gallery has only
opened in recent months and is
said to be unusually attractive.
