Aly Khan Denies Report of Riff With Rita Hayworth Cannes, France, May 8 (U.PJ Prince Aly Khan today dis missed a Rome newspaper report that be and Rita Hayworth will seek a divorce as just so much more scandal-mongering. "Nothing can spoil our won derful relationship," the Ismail! Moslem prince said in denying the divorce report which ap peared in the newspaper II Mes saggero. Victims of Tongue "We have always been victims of vicious tongues, people who tried to find every pretext to blacken this wonderful normal and healthy relationship be tween me and Rita. "We have been subjected to this kind of persecution since Rita left the United States to come to Europe to marry a for eigner. "The scandal-loving women's organizations in the United States and the numerous wor shippers of Rita who are disap pointed in not seeing her any more are the ones who are really responsible." On Buying Trip Aly is recovering at his cha teau here from a broken leg suf fered in a Swiss skiing accident last winter. He said Miss Hay worth left Cannes for Paris yesterday. Fireman Injured; Historic Home Burns Portland, Ore., May 5 (U.R One fireman was injured and an historic 67-year-old home burned to the ground yesterday as fire fighters ran out of water in an effort to save the Omar C. Spen cer residence on Sauvies island. Norman Calvin, 25, of Port land, was recovering in the Good Samaritan hospital today after a live, 220-volt wire fell from the burning two-story dwelling into Calvin's open hand. An island resident, Renny Rau, saved Calvin's life by push ing him away from the wire with a chair he had carried out of the house. The fire broke out In the up per story, but firemen could not pump enough water into the flames to put them out. How ever, neighbors saved nearly all furnishings and Spencer's valu able library of Oregon history. Loss of the house was covered by insurance. West German Cabinet In Emergency Meeting Frankfurt, Germany, May 5 (U.R) Chancellor Konrad Ade nauer called the west German cabinet into emergency meeting at dawn today to discuss the Mos cow announcement that Russia has repatriated all German pris oners of war. German officials said the an nouncement was "unbelieve able." They said the announce ment meant 400,000 German prisoners will spend the rest of their lives in Russia. Western allied officials estimated between 225,000 and 250,000 still are held in Russia. "Moscow's statement must not and cannot be the final word on the fate of countless Germans," West Berlin Mayor Ernst Reuter said. "This will hit thousands of German homes like a thunder bolt." The Soviet announcement was distributed last night by the Tass agency and broadcast over radio Moscow. It said the recent return of 17.000 Germans marked the com pletion of repatriation except for 13,546 men who still are held for various reasons. Of these. 9,717 have been condemn ed for serious war crimes. 3.815 are under investigation and 14 are ill, Moscow said. "Exploring all possibilities in order to solve the strike situa tion, I am continuing to meet with both parties," the commis sioner said.
