Meeting Announced For Sams Valley Unit Sams Valley Sams Valley Extension unit will meet Tues day, April 18. at 10:30 a.m., at the home of Mrs. Ben Day. Miss Eula Wintermote, county extension agent, will have the lesson "Improving Home Light ing." and election of officers will be held. A potluck luncheon Is planned and each member is asked to bring her own table service. Eight members of the unit and one guest met Monday eve ning at the grammar school building to make lampsnaaes. Health Association To Meet Saturday The Jackson County Public Health association will meet for reports and annual election oi officers on Saturday, April 29, at the Medford Presbyterian church at 12:30 p.m., according to Mrs. Dwight Findley, presi dent. Dr. Ray Hawk of Southern Oregon college is to be guest speaker, and has titled his discus sion "Fostering Mental Health in the School." Yearly reports to be given include the Christmas seal sale, the annual chest x-ray survey, the health education and the social hygiene activities of the association during the past year. Mrs. Glenn Gibbons, vice president, is in charge of the program. The meeting is to be preceded by a luncheon and those attend ing are asked to bring a half doz en sandwiches.
