Visit Here Mrs. C. G. Casper son and son, Carl Gene, have left for their home in Redding, Cal., after a week's visit with Mrs. Casperson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Roe. Also here for an extended visit with the Roes is another daughter, Mrs. C. B. Funk, and her children, Carl Jr. and Susan. Brigham, Ut. Mrs. Funk's husband. Lt. Carl Funk, is on active duty with the organized reserves for a three month training course at Ft. Eus tis. Va. . To New York James J. Fine gan, sales manager for Southern Oregon Sales, Inc., left by United Air lines yesterday for Ossining. N. Y. He will join Mrs. Fincgan and children, Judy and Eileen, at the home of Mrs. Finegan's mother. Mrs. Mary Jacoby, who is ill. Fincgan will visit New York markets as well as other eastern and southeastern mar kets before returning here. The family expects to return within the month. Jodoin, 63. who passed away at the VA domiciliary center Monday, were forwarded to Portland for serv ices and interment there Satur day. Arrangements were in care of Conger-Morris funeral home. Mr. Jodoin was born in Man chester, N.H., Aug. 28, 1887, and had been at Camp White since last August. He was a veteran of World War I, having served in private in Co. M, 361st infantry. Surviving are seven children: Alfred William, Clyde, Rosetta. Mrs. Alice Crowder, and Mrs. Lenora Landgraver, all of Port land; Mrs. Emma Davenport. El sie. Ore.: and Mrs. Mary Church, Boise, Ida. HOLLIE RHOADS i Services for Hollie Alvin Rhoads, 42, who passed away at his home, 14 Hawthorne street, Thursday, will be held in Conger-Morris chapel at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with the Eagles lodge officiating. A firing squad will be furnished by the Medford de tachment, Marine corps league. Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial park. Mr. Rhoads was born in Woodward, Okla.. Apr. 25, 1907. He came to Medford five years ago from California. Surviving are his widow, Edna M Med ford; two sons, James Lane and Michael Alvin. of Applcgate; a brother, Ernest E. Long, Wash ington. D.C.; and a sister, Rosa dine Davison, Canton 111. GARY ENGELBERT Services for Gary Duane En gelbert, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Engelbert, Eagle Point, who passed away in a local hospital Thursday, will be held at the graveside in Siskiyou Memorial park Satur day at 9 a.m., with the Rev. John Berger officiating. Acker and son, Rich ard. Temple City, Cal.. left Med ford for their home this morn ing. They are traveling via the Redwood highway. They spent the past week visiting Mrs. Ack er's mother, Mrs. I. L. Acker, and sisters. Mrs. Ray Sloneker and Mrs. C. C. Furnas and their families here. Teachers' Luncheon All school teachers in the county have been invited to a luncheon Saturday, April 15. at the Rogue Valley Country club, and reser vations should be made as soon as possible, it was announced to day. They can be made at the county school superintendent's office or at the Medford junior high school. The luncheon is an annual affair. Apr. 7 (U.R) Funer al preparations were made today for a seven-year-old girl acci dentally shot and killed by her nine-year-old brother during a "shooting game" while their mother was out shopping. The girl, Mary Pibolis, died yesterday. A single bullet from her father's .38 caliber pistol had entered her abdomen. Her brother Teddy told police that he found the gun under a pillow. Mary aimed her finger at him and shouted, "bang, bang." He gestured with the real weapon and accidentally pulled the trigger Jack Francis Cody. 22, and Jack R. Richcy, 21, posted $25 bail each with city police Tues day night after officers were called to evict them from the Rialto theater. They were booked on disorderly conduct charges for annoying others in the au dience and police said they were caught drinking beer in the loge I section of the theater. , All Motion Pictures!
