Ft Sfofe President To Visit Local Club Mrs. Robert Daniel, 11 North Columbus avenue, was hostess for the last meeting of FL club, and during the evening final plans were made for the visit of the state president at the next meeting. Mrs. Virginia Wicker won a prize for guessing the most nurs ery rhymes and Mrs. Miriam Ward a prize for best represent ing a nursery rhyme. The hostess pize was won by Mrs. Vivian Knox. Next meeting of the group will be April 10 at the home of Mrs. Knox, 127 Portland avenue, at 7:30 p. no. A salad supper will be served, with each member to bring a salad. Members planning to attend are asked to notify the hostess. Diversified Art Group To Meet on Thursday Diversified arts and antiques erouD of American Association of University Women will meet Thursday, April 6 at 8 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Leslie B. Meeting Announced For Butte Falls Unit Butte Falls Butte Falls Home Extension unit will meet Fri day, April 7, at the home of Mrs. Keith Scott. Mrs. Clyde Moore and Mrs. Scott are the local lead ers who will present the project, Broiled Dinners. Luncheon will be served for a small charge, and each one at tending is asked to bring her own table service. Anvone in the community in terested in the project is invit ed to attend. Eagle Point Group Holds Dancing Party Eagle Point A group of friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Whipple, Crater Lake highway, Saturday night, for an evening of dancing. PHONE 2-1521 Sorority Members Assist Seal Sale With Store Booth An Easter Seal booth will be set up in Penney's department store on Wednesday, Friday and baturday, April 5, 7 and B, where those who did not receive their Easter Seals in the mails may se cure them. Announcement of the booth was made today by Mrs. Chester C Peterson of bpsuon bigma Al pha sorority, whose members are sponsoring the booth at Penney's. In previous years many per sons whose names do not appear for one reason or another on the mailing list have failed entirely to get their share of the color ful seals which symbolize the aid being given to local crippled children and adults by the Ore gon Society for Crippled Chil dren and Adults. Through the booth, the society hopes to make it possible for every citizen of Jackson county to make his con tribution to the Easter Seal fund Mrs. Peterson pointed out that the more complete partici pation in work for the crippled becomes, the greater the service to the handicapped and the more effective the interest in solving their problems of health, social adjustment and economic inde pendence. The Easter Seal drive will con tinue through Easter Sunday,' April 9. The drive is nation-wide, with 2.000 societies affiliated with the National Society for Crippled Children and Adults participating in every part of the country. Phoenix Church Session To Meet on Wednesday Phoenix, Apr. 4 ;A meeting of the Phoenix Presbyterian church session has been set for Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. It is stated that the meeting is im portant and all members of the session are asked to attend. The choir will practice at 7 p.m. preceding the session meet ing and the members are re minded that will be the last practice before Easter. The young people's society met Sunday at 7:30 p.m., with Miss Nanette Furry in charge. Miss Sherwood, a daughter of Mrs. Virginia Sherwood, is a fresh man major in liberal arts. Four valley students are on the production staff of the fam ous Moliere comedy, "The Man Who Would Be Sick" to be giv en at Willamette university as a part of May week-end festi vities. Miss Eleanor Meeker of Medford is on both the manage ment and properties committees for the play, Miss Pat Faber of Central Point is on the publicity committee and Bill Hess of Med ford is on the make-up commit tee forthe production staff. Miss Meeker is a daughter of Mrs. Clarence Meeker of Med ford and New York City; Miss Faber is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Faber. Miss Barbara Dodson of Ash land was a model in the spring fashion show presented by the sophomore class of Marylhurst college March 31.
