Aor. 4 (URI AH allergy expert warned today that "anti-histamlne drugs can kill" and there i "as yet no good evidence" of their effectiveness in treating the common cow. Dr. Samuel M. Koinberg, head of Northwestern university's al- lemv research laboratory, said there was considerable danger from the drugs because of their sale without doctor's prescrip tions. Deaths Reported Feinberg, speaking before the American Association oi nan way Surgeons, said: "Deaths in British children who have eaten anti-hislamines as sweets are reported by Lancet (British medical publication) and accounts of similar deaths have been reported in the Journal of the American wicaicai hjsiicih- Table Rock Table Rock, Apr. 4 The pow er company has been doing some tree trimming along the high line through this district which resulted in the weening willow tree at the Fred Smith place looking like some one that naa gone to the barber shop for a hair cut and having the barber quit before he was through. Fortune hunters on Upper Ta ble Rock must have hit the jack pot or become discouraged as no dynamite explosions have been heard here for the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hover and family of Central Point were visitors at the Ray Doran home here recently. Table Rock farmers attending the soil conservation meeting at Sams Valley Thursday night were Edwin Taylor, Bill Bishop, E. E. Robison, Abe Hnlfhlll, R. E. Nealon and Walter Leverettc. A cast of six, consisting of Francis Vondcrpool, I,van Myers, Lucile Smith,) Thalia Doty, Bob Vanderpool, and Bert Pierce, coached by Ruth Brown, made the black face comedy one of the highlight features of the pro gram. At the next meeting of the club Friday, April 28, Jimmie Allen will be chairman of the program committee assisted by Mrs. R. E. Nealon. Mrs. Dan Sage is staying at the Bob Sage home during her hus band's absence. Ashland Council Sets Regular Meeting Ashland, Apr. 4 Three Hems of business which have been consistently presented to the Ashland city council for consid eration at most council meetings for the past few months, will probably be up tor consideration again at a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. today. They include presentation ot a proposed new water rate sched ule lor residential, agricultural and commercial users; discussion of an ordinance which would require sawmills to control Hy ing sawdust and ashes, and a resolution to place on the May luth election ballot a charter amendment which would permit the city to eflect the sale of tim ber property in Ashland canyon. Reports on progress in pre paring the 1950-51 budget may also be heard by councilmen. RESERVISTS TO MEET Medford's naval reserve com posite unit 13-11 will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the federal office building, 33 North River side avenue, according to Lt. R. William Clark, commanding of ficer. The meeting will be open to all ex-members of the naval services. Training in the activa tion of the "moth-ball" fleet will be given. Work was begun on the Gol den Gate bridge at San Francisco Jan. S, 1933, and it was com pleted May 27, 1937.
