This struck Fregonese as
pretty silly. Those guns cost

stand is why a movie cowboy
always rides so fast, then leaps
to the ground in a cloud of dust.
"He looks like he's Paul Re
vere," Fregonese said. "Act' ally,
he's only coming in to dinner."
Cowboys Gat Hungry
Cowboys get hungry for other
things, too. He'll have you know.
And it takes mor n a horse to
take care of those,
"I used to have a stallion on

Fregonese grinned. "But let a

I think cowboys ought to get
married, too. It's a matter of
genetics. If they don't, pretty

ese doesn't let Joel McCrea pack
a single six-shooter, he rides an
ignorant, gun-shy nag. looks like
a shiftless hobo, and never wins
a fist-fight.
There's no gleaming silver on
his horse or his hatband or in
his pockets. He marries the girl

ization. Thev charge that the insn
branch of the Rank organization
now constitutes an "undesirable
monopoly" and have called on
the government to safeguard na
tional film interests.
The Irish subsidiary, launch
ed some five years ago to ensure
Irish showings of the products
of Rank's British studios, now
owns five of Dublin's first-run
cinemas, leaving only two un
der Irish ownership.
It also controls some 30 per
cent of Dublin's second-run and
suburban cinemas, and the larg
est houses in Ireland's second
and third cities, Cork and Lim
erick. In all. onlv about 12 of the
capital's 30-odd cinemas remain
outside the corporation.

dents about their constancy of
purpose, they found two of them
had decided to turn to law at
the age of beven.
Three students among the 200
questioned said they decided
when they were 10 years old and
more than half decided before
they were 20.
Of even greater interest to the
professors were the answers giv
en on another question. The an
swers showed that political sci
ence led the list of "major in
terests" and 129 students want
ed to become politicians.
