"Once I was In love with a woman for five happy years," Roland said. "Then she left me. And for one whole year I was so miserable I used to pray in the church that I get over her. Do It Over Again "But I would do it over again. Balance up one year of unhappl ness with five of bliss and 1 still come out ahead." He would even meet a wom an "halfway" if It were the other way around: five years of misery for one of bliss. "Love," he said solemnly, "is that important." Roland was married only once. Threatened Coast Bus Strike Said Settled San Francisco, Mar. 24 (U.R) A threatened strike of Pacific Greyhound drivers In seven western states was avoided here today by a settlement reached between the company and the AFL Motor Coach Employees' union. Federal Conciliator Omar Hos kins said the settlement, reached after three successive days of negotiation, involved wage claims, disciplinary action and the interpretation of the contract. A disagreement as to arbitra tion procedure caused the union to initiate a strike vote, but the settlement has now eliminated the need for any arbitration, Hos kins said.
