nual Medford Kiwanis club
Easter egg hunt for the children
of Medford and vicinity.
He announced that the event
will be held Saturday morning,
April 8. The exact time- and
place and details of the program
will be announced later.
Youngsters have swarmed
over the hunting areas by the
hundreds at the event In past
years, snepara said that Mwan
ians hope to have more eggs than
ever for the 1950 hunt and to at
tract a record number of chil

the statistical department of the
Equitable Savings and Loan as
sociation, shows that the dollar
volume of building permits in
Medford in 1949 was nearly
equal to that of 1948. Permit
values last year totaled $2,807.

cities in the northwest registered

Dragnas presence was known to police for more than two weeks, but
he had been crossed off as a suspect In the bombing and the depart
ment had decided to "let Dragna 'worry It out."
Accordion Instructor Joins Purucker Store
Fred J. Divlsek, teacher of the
accordion who joined the staff
of the Purucker Piano house last
week, will conduct the five-week
accordion contest being held
here, the music store said today.
Divisek, who is a permanent
addition to the Purucker firm,
will be joined by his wife and
two children as soon as he finds
a house. He taught music in Chi
cago for many years, and he led
an accordion band of 100 pieces
which appeared at the world's
fair there.
He was a member of the Chi
cago Opera orchestra for 18

club, Giants Pass, Monday March
20, at the Grants Pass library.
Harry Clark, secretary of the
Grants Pass club, who was in
Medford Thursday, extended the
invitation in behalf of Yancy
Gibson, new president of the
men's organization. There will be
a moving picture on roses fol
lowed by discussion on roses led
by Ernie Vehers.
