At University James Austin Fraley. son of Mr. and Mrs. Solo mon Fraley, 1394 South Peach street, a junior in the school of religion, has registered at But ler university, Indianapolis, Ind., for the second semester, a uni versity news item reports. Twins Bom Mr. and Mrs. Rov Maudlin, route 3, box 374H, Medford, are parents of .twins born yesterday at Com munity hospital. The children, a boy and girl, weighed five pounds and four pounds, respec tively. Maudlin is a printer at The Medford Mail Tribune. Daughter Born Word has been received here of the birth of a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Stern, Portland. Mrs. Stern is the former Helen Rubenstein, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Rubenstein, 915 Queen Anne avenue. The child, to be named Sharon, weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces. Mrs. Rubenstein will leave for Portland Thursday to spend some time with the Sterns. Entry was gained by breaking a rear door window and unlocking the night latch. Mrs. Waddell was reportedly out of town on vacation. Car Damaged A damaged car registered to Noble Brown, Central Point, was found parked at Main and Ivy streets early this morning. It apparently had hit a light pole, police said. They reported that a front wneei naa been loided DacK un der the car and a fender almost torn off by the impact. To Build Dr. Lee Mellish was isued a building permit Saturday to erect a $15,000 house at 117 Black Oak drive. K. G. Nipedal applied today to make a S600 addition to a house at 340 North Central avenue. Crater Lake motors will make $600 renovations to the public garage at Main and Fir streets. Dance Class The Medford YMCA Square Dance group's dance class will convene at o p.m. today at the "Y" for mem bers and guests. The program will be practice and instruction for the jamboree. "Y" members wishing to learn square dancing are asked to sign for the new series of classes starting March 27. o o Auto Accident Mrs. Olive Young, 810 South Holly street, reportedly suffered bruises and back injuries early this morning in an auto accident near Central Point. She was brought to Com munity hospital in a Perl ambu lance. Her physician said she may be released tomorrow, ue tails on the mishap were not available. Motorists Injured Ellison J. and Paul M. Kelly. Central Point, and Mrs. Lura M. Vessey, 844 Dakota avenue, suffered slight injuries in an auto mis hap yesterday, according to re ports at the city police station. Cars driven by Kelly and the Vessey woman collided at 10th and Laurel streets about 7:30 a.m. The Kelly car was said bad ly damaged and the Vessey se dan considerablv damaged. ... Wheel Broaks A wheel broke off a trailer behind a sedan operated by Eugene Austin. 521 Berrydale avenue, and struck and slightly damaged a car oper ated by J. W. Alves, 2681 Merri man road, yesterday according to a report filed with city police. The accident occurred at the in tersection of Table Rock road and Berrydale avenue. The Alves1 machine was said to have stopped before being struck. o o School Survey Miss Neva Dallas, supervisor of elementary education for the state depart ment of education, is surveying the Ashland schools this week. She will inspect the new Walker avenue and Briscoe schools as well as the additions and im provements in the Lincoln and Bellview buildings. She expects to complete her survey in three days.
