youth told them that he escaped

Paul Gravell, Central Point,
passed away at a local hospital
Sunday. Mr. Gravell was born
in West Warren, Mass., on Aug.
13, 1867, and was aged 82 years
at his death.
He is survived by one sister
who lives in California, and
other relatives in the east.
Funeral services will be con
ducted from Perl funeral home,
Thursday at 10:30 a.m. with
the Very Rev. John M. Berger,
pastor of the Sacred Heart Cath
olic church, officiating. Inter
ment will take place in Siskiyou
Memorial park.

pleaded guilty in county court
yesterday to a charge of larceny
of a motor vehicle. He is accused
of taking a 1937 Ford coupe
from the Leever Motor company

from Portland and the Marshalls
are much encouraged by the
doctors' reports on Lila's prog
ress. Mary Gage and Jean Kile left
Thursday for Los Angeles to
visit Mary's relatives. They plan
on being gone for two or three
weeks.

earth embankment dam structure
and concrete spillway at Look

Mayor Fred Denclar's family

him in the eye, inflicting two
deep gashes, one in his eyebrow
and the other one lust under it.
Mrs. R. W. Hargitt has been
hclumc her husband for the past
five weeks on the rural mail
route. She reports he is much
better and she is thankful to re
main at home. During the heavy
snow storm they experienced
considerable difficulty in getting
to some of the mail boxes be
cause the box owners did not
clear the snow drifts from sides
of the road at their mail boxes

cheerfully described her experi

as radio program Queen for a
Day. Prominent points in her
story dealt with the fairness of
the drawing of names, the high
character of the program and of
the management and escorts of
the night club tour. Her larger
gifts and bathroom fixtures are
being shipped to Rogue River by
freight.
