After three years in the navy,
Hal Carver has returned to Med-
ford to reopen Hal's Camera
Shop at 229 East Main street
The store will open Thursday,
according to Carver.

Carver enlisted in the Seabees

Hansen, M. O. Atterbury and Joe
Collins.
In January, 1945, Carver was

aerial photography, general lab.

charged last October and with
his wife and small daughter, vis
ited in Belvldere, 111., .before re
turning to Medford to re-enter
business.

tion of men's suits, the Office of
Price Administration today re
laxed restrictions on the proauc-
' tion of high grade woolen cloth
used for that purpose.
The action releases manufac
turers of certain worsted suit
ing fabric from the maximum
average price order which re
quires them to balance higher
priced cloth output with the
manufacture of cheaper fabric.

showed moving pictures she had
taken during her travels, ex
plaining them as they were
shown.

Next Grange meeting will be
held March 7. A pot luck sup
per will be served at 7 p. m. with

News, published by the naval de
partment, beginning next month,
according to information receiv
ed from Lt. Comdr. Arthur
Schoeni, formerly of Medford.
Comdr. Dew was employed in
the mailing room of the Mail
Tribune in the early 1920's and
is a graduate of Medford high
school. He received his Annap
olis appointment while a Med
ford resident.
He saw over two years sea
duty during the war. During
this time he served as air opera
tions officer for Admiral Olden
dorff in the Caribbean area and
over a year in the Pacific. In the
latter waters he served on the
staff of the commander escort
carrier force of the Pacific fleet

can Diplomatic Corps. The au
dience in effect was a consist
ory further extending the cere
monies of last week In which
32 prelates were elevated to the
cardliialate.
The audience followed Fran
cis Cardinal Spellman's chal
lenge to the "attackers of reli
gious freedom in many parts of
the world." The New York
cardinal said it was the duty of
the church to stand against the
"wave of militant atheism."
He spoke in taking over the
titular church of Saints John
and Paul.
