Ellsworth Alan Kircher, son of Lloyd Kircher of Medford, has receiv ed a principal appointment to the U. S. Naval Academy, it was learned yesterday in a letter from Rep. Harris Ellsworth, through whom the appointment was made. Kircher, who is pres ident of the senior class of Med ford high school and a star on the school football team, receiv ed the appointment after Clar ence Carver, first named prin cipal, entered the navy and de clined to accept the appointment. Also learned from the letter was the advancement from first alternate to principal of Ferney McKibben. son of Mr. and Mrs. C. McKibben of Central Point. Appointment of McKibben, who is now attending the U. t. coasi Guard Prep school at Grotin, Conn., was made through Sen. Wayne Morse.
