42 months with the signal corps
in the Pacific theater. He re
ceived two bronze battle stars
and a company citation.

Union Creek Snow
About Two Feet
Snow in the Union Creek area
now measures about two feet ac
cording to information from the
Rogue River National Forest
service ranger. Six inches of
new snow fell Monday, it is re
ported. About 40 people were on the
ski run near Union Creek Sun
day, the ranger reported, but
skiing was only fair due to soft
ness of the snow.

by city police during 1845, Chief

where bail was forfeited also

ing the past year and 18 stolen
cars were reported to police
