Navy Mothers' club members

been canceled and it will not be

1, Cpl. Joe W. Casad and T. Sgt,
Allen K. Casad, arrived in the
county Monday after having met
by chance at Ft. Lewis, Wash.,
where both were being dis
charged from the service. Joe
Casad, last stationed at Ft. Mc-
Clellan, Ala., served two years
in the army and Allen Casad,
in the service five years, spent
two years of that time in the
Pacific theater, arriving from
Manila. Another son, Sgt. John
Casad, Jr., arrived on the At
lantic seaboard from Belgium,
after two years in England,
France and Belgium, but was
unable' to leave New York be
cause of transportation and fail
ed to reach home for the Christ
mas holiday.

Investigated the prowling of
Bill's cafe. 1182 Court street,
yesterday. Entrance to the build
ing was made sometime Monday
through a screen door and win
dow but nothing was taken from
the cafe, officers said.

all members enjoyed a gift ex

OBITUARY
IDA M. SCHULER
Ida M. Schuler, a resident of
Medford for 38 years, passed
away at a local hospital this
morning.
Mrs. Schuler was born In On
tario, Canada, Sept. 10, 1859.
She came to the United States
with her parents at the age of
one year.
In 1877 she was married to
Richard Schuler at Eyota, Minn.
Left to mourn her passing are
three sons, Harry D. Schuler,
Sanborn, N. D.; Ira E. and Rod
ney Schuler, both of Medford,
and two daughters, Stella L. Bos
well, Beavcrton, Ore., and Ruth
E. Pickell, Eugene, Ore. Eleven
grandchildren and nine great
grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held
at the Perl Funeral Home Satur
day at 11 a. m. The Rev. Del
bert Daniels of the First Chris
tian church will officiate and
interment will be In Medford
I.O.O.F. cemetery.

Mr. Gardner was born in
Buffalo, N. Y., June 12, 1854.
He had resided in Medford for
30 years, the last 14 years of
which were spent with Mr. and
Mrs'. Johnston.
A half sister, a cousin and
three nieces are left to mourn
his passing.
