L The hundreds of gifts donated by local clubs and individuals for patients at the Camp White Naval Hospital will be distri buted by the hospital Red Cross staff at the large Christmas eve party planned at the Red Cross recreation hall by Navy person nel. The "all hands party" will include officers, enlisted men, patients and staff. Through efforts of garden clubs of Southern Oregon under the leadership of Mrs. L. G. Gentner, a member of the Camp and Hospital Committee, mess halls, wards and the auditorium have been decorated with wreaths, garlands and trees. Tray favors for bed patients and tables in the mess hall were provided. Women who spent hours in making decorations in their homes the past month had the pleasure of hanging them in ttw hospital under the direction of Lt. Commander Paul. In each ward Christmas par ties were held by the Red Cross staff headed by Miss Mary Raf tery, recreation director, with the patients decorating their own trees with decorations sent in by the Junior Red Cross of Jackson County. The whole Christmas Eve party will bf under the direc tion of the welfare and recrea tion officer of the Navy Hospi tal assisted by the Red Cross staff and with cooperation of community groups.
