Hawkins, 623 South Central avenue, yesterday when in collision on Oakdale avenue, near the high school, with a car operated by Lee V. Famlly Leaves Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Kelly and son, Jackie, left Wednesday evening for their home In Logan, W. Va. Kelly, former technical sergeant in the arm y, was recently released from service at Ft. Lewis, having formerly been stationed at Camp White. Mrs. Kellv In recent months has been on the staff of the Office of Price Administration here and for the past several weeks has served as price clerk. The Kellys resided at 302 South Riverside avenue. Couple Arrive Lt. Curtis M. Hopkins and Mrs. Hopkins ar rived in Medford last night from Santa Ana, Calif., to spend the holidays with the lieutenant's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis M. Hopkins, Old Military Road. About Jan. 1 the couple will leave for Milford, Tex., where Lt. Hopkins will be reassigned for duty in the air corps. Mrs. Hopkins is the former Betty Jane Johnson, her wedding to the officer having taken place last fall shortly after the return of Lt. Hopkins from duty in the European theater. Lewis, Robert L. Llndsa, Harold L. Sicg and Glen D. Young. OBITUARY SARAH ELIZABETH HALL Sarah Elizabeth Hall passed away Wednesday at the home of a daughter in Grants Pass. Mrs. Hall was born at Forreston, 111.. Jan. 17, 1863. She lived many years In Med- i ford before moving to Grants , Pass, and is well known here. Her husband, Albert Hall, pass ed away in 1916. She is survived by three daughters and two sons, Mrs. O. R. Gonderman of Medford; Miss Grace Hall, Grants Pass; Mrs. V. T. Canon, Salem: Oran Hall. Rogue River; Clayton Hall, Kirk- land, Wash., also 14 grandchil dren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be con ducted from the Perl Funeral Home Saturday at 1 p. m., with burial in the family plot m Med ford I.O.O.F. cemetery. LILLIE T. M'DONOUGH Mrs. Lillie T. McDonough pajsed away late Wednesday at her horn--, which was a part of a homesteaders right purchased by her late husband in the early 1880 s. Her parents, the late Mr, and Mrs. Elijah Smith, came to Logtown In 1863, and Mrs. Mc Donough was born there on Dec. 22, 1866. In 1886 she was united in marriage to James McDon ough, who preceded her In death in 1923. . Surviving are four children, Ivan. Chester and Martin Mc- o 43- ED Donough, U of Ruch, who oper ate the sinnyside store there; and Mrs. Bertha Turpin, Med ford: two brothers, J. A. Smith, San Francisco, and E. A. Smith, Ruch, also three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Loved by all who knew her she will long be remembered for her kindness and charitable qualities. Services will be held In the Conger-Morris Chapel at 2 p. m. Saturday with the Rev. Louis C. Kirby officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in the Loctown cemetery beside her husband. NOEL ACY LOWN Noel Acy Lown. six-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Lonzo L. Lown of Gold Hill, passed away at a local hospital early today Noel was born in Gold Hill December 24. 1939. Left to mourn are his parents, one broth' er, Lonzo L., and five sisters, Francis, Katherine, Opal, Mary and Lois, all of Gold Hill. Graveside services will be held at the Rock Point cemetery Gold Hill, Friday at 3:30 p. m. Elder G. A. Thompson of the Seventh Day Adventist church will officiate.
