    Oak Grove Teacher
Of 30 Years Ago
Wants Mistletoe
A request for Oregon mistle
toe, especially that from the Oak
Grove district, was received this
week by Mrs. Mary Schiller,
principal of the Oak Grove
school, from Mrs. Lucile Rader
Powell, former primary teacher
of the school, who now resides
in Washington, D. C.
Mrs. Powell, who wrote that
she had missed the holiday
greenery every year since leav
ing Oregon 80 years ago, and
would like some mistletoe for
the Christmas holidays this year,
asked also that her best regards
be given the "old timers who
may still remember Miss Rader
who married the principal and
moved to Washington, D. C."
The former teacher's husband,
R. H. Powell, Is now an Instruc
tor in the Washington Cathedral
School for Boys.
Carl Norris, Lozier Lane, dis
trict clerk of the school and for
mer student of Mrs. Powell's,
has been given the task of sup
plying Mrs. Powell with mistle
toe for the coming holidays.
