he declared under cross-examination

Dr. John H. Mansfeldt, confessed
to an affair with Mrs. Vada Mar
tin. Kispert, called as a rebuttal

Vincent Hallinan if "Dr. Mans
feldt (didn't) admit to you he
was having a love affair with
Vada Martin?"
"Yes," Kispert replied, "a
week or so before all this (the

TIES UP RAILWAY
Nogales, Sonora, Mex., Dec.
11 (U.R) Mexican troops were
to be assigned today to prevent
what Gen. Jose F. Botello called
"further railroad sabotage"
which tied up Southern Pacific
of Mexico trains for 34 hours in
a union dispute.
Gen. Botello, commandant of
the Nogales military garrison,
last night arrested 12 men, the
crews of two trains, and an
nounced he would order troops
to see that trains got through.
Those arrested were members
of the Brotherhood of Trainmen
and Oilers, an organization!
claiming 28,000 Mexican railroad
workers, which is striking
against attempted control by the
government-backed Syndicate of
Railroad Workers of the Repub
lic of Mexico, claiming 80,000
workers.

As for the big test itself, the
questions of when and where it
will be held, what and how many
vessels will be used and what
types of explosions will be un
corked are still without official
answers.
