Merrick, Mrs. John Perl, Mrs. Kenneth Denman, Mrs. Allen Perry. Mrs. B. L Nutting and Mrs. Dlamcnd Flynn. On Tuesday: Mrs. Robert Duff. Mrs. C. C. Leonard, Mrs. Jim Moore, Mrs. Stan Philips, Mrs. Mark Goldy and Mrs. H. G. Christcnscn. Workers were asked by Mrs. Sleeter to turn their stamps and money into the office at each location at the close of the dqy. They will also find their sup plies at the office of the firm where they preside each morning. The Christmas seal sale fi nances the anti-tuberculosis pro gram of the Jackson County Health association throughout this county. This program has brought the free X-ray to this region for the first time and the manner in which people have lined up at the mobile unit is sufficient proof that "We should buy Christmas seals," Mrs. Glenn A. Gibbons, county seal sale chairman, said yesterday. Obituary MARY OLIVE BULLOCK Funeral e r v i c e for Mrs. Mary Olive Bullock, wife of W. R. Bullock, who passed away at the family residence, 615 N. Disabled Veterans Honored Today in DAV Ceremonies Appropriate ceremonies mark ing today as "Disabled Veterans' Day," are planned by Jackson county Chapter No. 8, Disabled American Veterans and ut the request of the organization, pub lic recognition of the day has been asked by Mayor C. A. Meeker. Commending the DAV for its service to the nation's veteran1;, the mayor called on local resi dents to help observe the day n a proclamation which said in part: "It was on the first Sunday In December 1941 at Pearl Har bor, that Americans were first called upon during the period oi World War II, to sacrifice their lives, limbs and blood.
