High praise for the staff of
the Timber Products company,
where the moxile X-ray unit
was set up yesterday, was voiced
last night by Mrs. Dwight Find
ley as she reported 356 people
X-rayed In the third day of the
public health program. The unit
used the facilities of the Tim
ber Products" first aid office and
throughout the day John Ebv
and V. W. Kengla of the com
pany assisted the Jackson Coun
ty Public Health association and
the technicians of the Oregon
Tuberculosis association.

hard to turn out an increase in
X-rays each day, also won en
thusiastic praise from the coun
ty committee. "Messrs. B r a d
ford, Norris and Chin," they de
clared, "are doing a wonderful
job."

the mobile unit is located at the
county courthouse for the first
time. X-rays will be taken until
7 p. m., to enable working men
and women to take advantage
of the service.

Veterans To Hear
Major C. L. Coyle
Major C. L. Coyle, on ter
minal leave from the army and
who has recently reopened his
medical practice here, will
speak at a meeting of Spanish
American war veterans at the
Medford armory Wednesday,
Dec. 5, Commander Prank
Thompson said today. Major
Coyle recently returned after
long overseas service.
, The meeting will be preceded
by a 6:30 dinner to be served In
the' basement of the armory by
the ladies auxiliary.
All veterans are Invited for
the dinner and meeting, Thomp

Martin Johnson, a prospector
of the Elliott creek district in
the upper Applegate was
brought to a local hospital this
week, suffering from a severe
cold, Lee Port of the Star Rang
er station reports. Neighbors
visited him recently and found
him ill. Later they returned
and brought Johnson to this city
for care. He has been mining
in the area for some time.
