Howe arrived in Medford Thurs day and is with his wife and son at the family home, 210 Vancouver street. Sgt. Howe, who expects to be released from the army in the near future, served six months in the Aleu tian Islands with emergency reserve boat squadron of the Tenth air force. He wears the Asiatic-Pacific ribbon, the good conduct and victory medals and the American theater ribbon. a m Officer Her Lt. Com. Fritz Meier spent the past week visiting friends and relatives in the vicinity. In the navy 16 years, the officer just complet ed his fourth trip around the world. Meier's service during the war Included all theaters and he experienced a torpedo ing in the North Atlantic. Upon leaving Medford Lt. Com, Meier returned to San Francisco, where his wife resides, to spend the remainder of his leave be fore reporting back for duty. Lt. Taylor Horn 1st Lt. Ted L. Taylor recently return ed to Medford on terminal leave from the army and is at home at 710 Park avenue. The lieutenant, who will receive his certificate of service January 9, has been In the army five years and served 34 months In the Southwest Pacific with the 41st and famous 32nd (Red Arrow) Infantry Divisions. Lt. Taylor wears the combat infantryman's badge, presidential unit citation with oakleaf cluster, Philippine liberation ribbon with one battle star and the Asiatic-Pacific rib bon with three battle stars and one arrowhead denoting an assault landing. Holmes Returns David Holmes, Jr., recently released from the army air corps at Luke Field, Ariz., has returned to Medford and is residing with his father, David Holmes, Sr., at their home, 1327 Rcddy avenue. The young man, who held the rank of lieutenant, will enter business with, his father. Discharged From Nay y Clyde S. Taylor, former metal smith 1c, has been honorably discharged from the navy and has returned to his home In Med ford. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor, their two sons, and daughter, Ame, who was born the day the navy: many left the United States en route overseas, reside at 113 Mis-! tletoe street. Taylor was station-1 ed on Trinidad and Puerto Rico while overseas. Tickets Available A quan tity of general admission tickets and a few reserved seat tickets for the evening performance of "Peter Pan," which will be pre sented at the Holly Theater Wednesday by the Medford Branch, American Association of University Women, are still available it was stated last night. The matinee performance Is sold out. Southern Oregon resi dents who have seen "Peter Pan" and other productions of Claire Tree Major's New York company declare the presenta tions to be excellent and staged with the thought of being especially appealing and whole some for children. "Peter Pan," favorite with both children and adults for many years past, Is declared the most popular play which the Major Children's theater has ever produced. Tickets are on sale at schools, by branch members and at Mann's Department store. Conaway Horn Claire L. Conaway, former master serg eant In the 20th air force, has been honorably discharged from the service and is in Medford to spend several weeks with Mrs. Conaway at the family home, 129 Kenwood avenue. Conaway, in the service nearly five years, served one year in the Marianna islands and wears the bronze star medal and one battle star. He plans to re-enlist after a vacation. His brother, Charles E. Conaway, radio mechanic In the air force, saw service in the Aleutian Islands, where he spent 16 months. He has been dis charged from the army and is now in Washington, D. C.
