topics of the week. The younger

Hallowe'en fun and frolics while
the older folk are looking for
ward to a holiday Nov. 12, this
being set as the day of the tra
ditional Armistice Day celebra
tion since Nov. 11 falls on Sun
day this year.
Every train, plane and bus
has its quota of young men and
women returning from war

has been discharged after serv

TSgt. Houston Pitts' last let
ter home told of his experiences
during the recent typhoons on
Okinawa. The sergeant, who has
been in India, said he didn't
know whether he was headed for
home or for Japan. Also on Oki
nawa Is Roger Card, CM 3c in
the Seabees, who arrived just in
time to experience the typhoon.
