TO ASSIST DRIVE WHICH STARTS MONDAY Boy Scouts of the Crater Lake area are makirg plans to assist with the next victory loan drive, which opens Monday, according to Gordon Gilmore, Scout ex ecutive for the council. The nearly tvo million members of 69.29? troops and cub packs throughout the nation aided with every finance program dur ing the war the executive states, and will now aid the vic tory drives in the same manner. By personally buying bonds and stamps and obtaining pledges of purchase from others, the Scouts have be?n responsible for more tnan $1,800,000,000 sales during the seven loan campaigns, according to a state ment from Dr. ElLert K. Fret well, chief executive of the Boy Scouts of America Mr. Gilnwe has been notified that a new emblem has been de signated for award to troops and cub packs with at least 90 per cent of its membership buying bonds and stamps on a regular basis and obtaining pledges from a like number of persons during the campaign. The em blem contains the flaming torch of Liberty which has been chos en as the official ii.signe of the Victory Loan. The omblcm reads "Boy Scouts of America" and "We did our part in the Victory Loan." GIVING TO CIST Camp White civilian employes have contributed a substantial sum towards the Community Chest and victory fund campaign according to the report of A. L. Hadley, chairman of the camp campaign, and Otto Frohnmayer, ' general chairman. Several sec tions of the camp donated 100 per cent, Hadley reports, and many contributed the traditional one day's pay. Hadley, personnel employe's relations officer, states that he was assisted in the campaign by several solicitors, including Jack Gill, Esther M. Larson, Dale Sawyer, Azalea Andrews. Leona Webb, Georgia Russell, Ruth Carr, Barbara Helm, Mabel Rog ers, Marion Moore, Grace Sim mons, John E 1 s o n , Chester Thompson and Florence Sulli van. LOGGER INJURED WHEN LOADING AT PROSPECT E.
