Mrs. Louis C. Klrby, an nounces a combined program for the annual Institute of World Community Day, to be held at the Church of the Nazarene, Holly at First street, October 26 from 10 a. m. to 3:30 p. m. "Three years ago World Com munity Day came Into being be cause the church women of America felt they must unite their forcca If they were to help build a better world," a national officer states. "On World Com munity Day of this year, In thou sands of communities all over the United States, groups of women of the United Council of Church Women will meet for worship, study and action that they may dedicate themselves anew to accept the price of en during peace." Specific subjects will be: "The World Charter how can we make It live?", "The World Community how can we achieve it?" and "The World Church woman's part In it." Convinced that church women have an Immediate task of educa tion, Mrs. Harper Sibley, Roches ter, N. Y., national president of the council, says, "The frame work of the Charter of the Unit ed Nations is merely the skele ton of the new world organiza tion. It must have flesh and blood and the breath of life In its veins. The women of the world are needed to make it come alive.' Academy Parents Will Form Club A meeting for the purpose of organizing a Parents' club was held Thursday evening at St. Mary's academy and the follow ing chairmen were appointed: Mrs. L. A. McCormlck, nominat ing committee; Mrs. Edward C. Kelly, constitutional committee, and Mrs. II. J. Roomer, policy committee. Larry Schade pre sided and the appointments were followed by open discus sions. Next meeting of the group will be held Monday evening. Oct. 29.
