4 LOCAL and Wright of Phoenix, has been honorably discharged from the Army Air Forces, it was learned today. Wright's last duty station was at the Air Transport Com mand's Ferrying Division base near Reno, Nev., and he received his discharge at the Ft. Lewis, Wash., separation center. Wright arrived Tuesday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray E. Wright, 60 North Orange street. As a technical sergeant, Wright served two years overseas with a ground crew of the 13th air for;e and was tn the army three and one- half years. , To Portland Dr. Thomas Em mens, with Mrs. Emmens and ' their two sons, Robert and James, will leave Medford next j week for Portland where they I will make their home. Major Home Major Harold I Woods is spending a 30 day fur lough with his wife, Ann, at the family home at 1307 East Main street, following his arriv al in the States from the China- India theater, where he has spent the past two years with the quartermaster corps. In the army five years, the officer will report to Ft. Lewis, Wash., for reassignment upon expiration of his leave. The Woods son, Wal lace, a private, first class, is. stationed with the 7th division in Korea. ... Discharged George Slade formerly a technician, fourth grade, with the 50th combat en gineers battalion, arrived in Medford Tuesday from Ft. Lewis, Wash., where he received an honorable discharge from the army. Slade, who entered the army December 10, 1942, served 20 months in the Asiatic-Pacific theater and received an arrow i head decoration for participation , in the invasion of Attu. His wife is expected here soon from Lo i gan, Utah. Slade was employed ! with the Herman Brothers lum ber company, Prospect, prior to entering the service.
