Sent. 14 U.R) The 34th annual Pendleton round-up today went Into its third and next to final day with cowboy "Royalty" pitting brain and brawn against some of na ture's roughest Incorrigible. in bucking and calf-roping at its best was sched uled for the last two ciays oi inc round-up with final eliminations for $16,000 in prize money to be held Saturday. A last stretch finish for all around championship honors be tween the youthful 1944 cham pion. Gene Rambo, of Shendon, Cal., and the Veteran Bill Mc Mac'ken of Florence, Ariz., 1037 and 1939 trophy winner, appear ed in the offing. BIRTHS DOUBLE JULY DEATHS Births In Jackson county for the month of July numbered 68 according to the table of births and deaths published in the last issue of the Oregon Health Bul letin, while deaths numbered 33. For the same month in 1944 births numbered 58 and deaths 24. Births for the first six months of 1945 numbered 407, as com pared to 441 for the first six months of 1944, and deaths totaled 249 as compared to 267 for the same period of 1944.
