Taylor At Dealer Meeting L. C. Taylor Hears Plans of Dodge At Portland Meeting The new Dodge cars, which are being engineered for produc tion later this year, will have many important improvements and new features, according to L. C. Taylor of L. C. Taylor Co., local Dodge dealers, who recent ly returned from Portland where he attended a meeting held for dealers throughout the state. Dodge is proud of the fact that owners have had. through their dealerships, a continuously available supply of factory-engineered parts throughout the war that has enabled Dodge deal ers to keep cars and trucks in good repair, Taylor said. The company plans to get In production of new cars as soon as possible, but considering the limited new car production au thorized and the millions in need of new cars, It Is now more tm are also being picked. The D'An jou crop is not as large as the Bartlett production which was one of the largest crops in the record of the valley. Lindley, superin tendent. The hot lunch program will not begin operation until October 1, and all pupils who regularly eat their lunches at echool are asked to bring their lunch the first day as school will be in session from 9 a. m. to uto p. m. High school pupils who live In a non-high school district thould call at the school or at the county school superintend ent's office and obtain an infor mation blank for high school tui tion. This blank must be com pleted and signed by the pupil, his parent, and the clerk of the pupil s home district before an eligibility tuition card will be granted by the non-high school , board. Students entering high school for the first time and stu dents new to the Phoenix high school should register at the school house on Friday, Sept. 21, between 9 a. m. and 5 p. m. A program of remodeling and repairing has been carried on during the summer months which has greatly improved the appearance and accessibility of the school facilities. The school board announces that the music program is being enlarged and that the acquisition of a new dual microphone public address system will offer added empha sis to the dramatics and speech work. The Parent-Teachers' associa tion is now completing a success ful canning program with the shelve:, already holding 87 quarts of cherries, 425 quarts of peaches and 500 quarts of tomatoes. The elementary school staff for the year includes Susan , Sikes, first grade: Marie 'Pres cott, second; Edith Thompson, third; Grace Renzema, fourth; Mabel Moore, fifth; Gladys Sloan, sixth: Mildred Rogers, seventh: and Kugene Rice, eighth grade and principal. In the high school. Mabel Sims will handle English and journalism; Jose phine Abbott, commercial and homemaking; Katherine Stan cliffe, social studies; Alvin Whee ler, science and mathematics and dramatics: Harry L. Myers, band and orchestra: and Lyle Lindley. superintendent. Hot lunches "will again be prepared by Mrs. Cor nelia Barnes, and the head build ing custodian will be Kellie Wil-loughby.
