If Dr. Brady there is suf ficient reason to warrant skimp ing, skipping or wolfing in a hurray any meal that meal should by the mid-day lunch, and then one can coast along on a little or no lunch only if one has started the day with a real breakfast, A real breakfast for any rea sonably healthy youth or adult should invariably include either eggs (ooked as you prefer, or ham and eggs, or bacon and eggs, or sausage, or other meat or fish. It must include a cereal dish or item made of cereal toast, corn-pone, muffin, pancake, waf fle, oatmeal, wheat, whatever cereal or "breakfast food" you prefer, but NOT two such items, as many badly planned break fast menus do for instance a dish of cereal gruel with milk or cream or sugar or fruit or honey and then toast, waffle or roll. A good breakfast must include not less than a glassful (8 ounces, one-half pint) of milk. Breakfast should invariably begin .with some fresh fruit if fruit is in season, or in lieu of fresh fruit or the juice freshlv expressed (not overnight re frigerated), fresh or commercial ly (vacuum process) canned to i mato Juice, not Iris tlmn fm... ounces. Home canned tomato or tomato juice may retain a little of the vitamin C of th fresh tomato, but not enough to de pend on, when fresh fruit and fresh vegetables are nnt avail. able. In lieu of fresh fruit or its juice, fresh or canned tomato or its iuice. breakfast shmilH hanin with stewed prunes or other onea trim or canned fruit sup plemented with a vitamin C (as corbic acid) tablet.
