LOCAL and Biket Stolen Bicycles belong ing to Warren Walker, 409 Sum mitt avenue, and Bert Simmons, 617 East Eighth street, were re ported stolen Saturday, city police said today, Miller Injured Albert Miller was taken to Community hus pital about noon today with feet injuries sustained in a fall from the roof of a residence at 113 Laurel street. Diieharged Lester Lee Mor gan returned to his home in Shady Cove last week with an honorable discharge from the navy received Aug. 16, at Long Beach, Calif. Morgan entered the navy in July, 1944. At Hospital Cpl. Carter H Rinkel, 912 North Central ave nue, has been admitted as a patient to Madigan hospital, Ft. Lewis, Vash., according to an announcement from the center Rinkel has just returned from overseas service. To Portland Mrs. Arthur Mc Veigh and son, Raymond, 716 South Peach street, plan to leave the city tomorrow for a 10-day visit with relatives in Portland Mrs. McVeigh's other son, Rich ard, who is in Portland, will re turn with the family. Auto Accident Considerable damage was caused to an auto operated by Wesley Charley of Central Point, Saturday, when it was in collision at the inter section of Main and Bartlett streets with 'a car driven by John Day of Medford, according o an accident report filed with city police. Foley Commended For the part they played in the historic aeries of five low level incendi ary attacks on Japan in the Ust great offensive, Cpl. Lester L. Foley of Central Point and other enlisted men at B-29 bases in the Marianas were commended by the commanding general of the 20th air force, according to word received here. His father, a lieutenant colonel in the army, arrived on the east coast Saturday from France, and is expected home soon, according to word received by Mrs. Wilcox. Higgins Leaves Pvt. Clay Higgins, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Higgins, 712 West Eleventh street, left yesterday to report back to Ft. Lewis, Wash., after spending a three-day leave with his family. Pvt. Higgins serves as a blacksmith instructor at Ft. Lewis, and a brother, TSgt. Donald Higgins, overseas 28 months, is stationed with the army finance department in France. 1 ! Post To Meet Crater Lake Post No. 1833 and-Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars, will meet Tuesday at 8 p. m. in the armory for balloting and com mittee reports, and to plan for the district meeting to be held Sept. 14. As travel restrictions have been lifted somewhat, plans for the annual department en campment will be discussed and Commander Victor Robb re quests all members to be on time.
