M.D. Readers should address inquiries toi Dr. William Brady, 265 CI Catnlno. Beverly Hills. Calif. HOW TO KEEP YOUR Although I may learn of an occasional hospital or maternity institution where the husband is perm itted to remain with his wife dur ing delivery, I cannot under- take to name such places for c o r r e s pond' ents. Nor shall I name physi- c i a n s .who share my views about this. The right way Dr. Brady to arrange for the prospective father to remain with his wife as a real man should do, of course, is by stipulating to that when you engage the physician. Of course, if you are in earn est about establishing a family, you will engage your physician, both of you, as soon as, you are reasonably certain you are going to have a baby. You will go together to en gage the physician. And from then on, if you are serious in the desire to make your partner ship a permanent, successful and happy one, you will make ev erything fifty-fifty. A prospective father is not a man but a mouse if he blithely goes his way and leaves the prospective mother to do all the worrying, studying and prepar ing alone as though she were a widow in fact. If a man is a man he will at tend as regularly and as atten tively the advice and instruction given by the physician as his wife does, and he will have as much concern as she has about carrying out the physician's In structions. Whatever pamphlets or books the prospective mother may read or study in preparing for ma ternity, the prospective father will of course study too. There is no detail of embryology, pre natal growth and development, pregnancy, childbirth or involu tion (return to ordinary bodilv condition after childbirth) which a man should not understand as wen as his wife does. (Mrs. R. P.) Answer More economical (of Ice or refrigerating power) to let the mix ture cool to nearly room temperature before putting it In refrigerator, but there is no health objection to putUng the freshly cooked, or boiled food im mediately into relrlgerator. Why Doll the mixture? Pure milk needs no bolt ing. Boiling destroys essential vita mins, especially C.
