O. Houston, Central Point, and Donald Wolff, Cen tral Point, were damaged Sun day when they collided on the Old Stage road, according to an accident report filed with city police. Damago estimated at 1300 was caused to Wolff's auto, the report said, Fick Home Capt. Laurence Fick arrived July 2 to spend a 30-day leave visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Fick of Jack sonville. Capt. To Repair Damage E. F. Firemen reported little damage at either run. New School Roof Work was begun this week on a new roof for the high school building, E. H. Hedrick, city school superin tendent, said today. Work is be ing done by the school mainten ance crew and all of the building with the exception of the manu al training shop and the auditor ium will be roofed, it was said. Leave Today Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Peterson were to leave Medford today to return to thejr home at Roseburg following a visit for the past few days with Mrs. Peterson s mother, Mrs. P. C. Latham, 822 South Oakdale avenue. Mr. Peterson was for merly head of the local O and C Land administration and is now head of the administration at Roseburg. CobUigh Promoted Donald Dale Cobleigh, son of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Cobleigh of Phoenix, has been promoted to ART 1c, according to information re ceived here by his parents. Cob leigh entered the service in July of 1943. and received training at Farragut, Ida., Michigan City, Ind., and Corpus Christi, Tex. Since going overseas last Octo ber, he has been stationed on the Island of Maui. The Yerba Buena Island tun nel, a part of the San Francisco. Oakland Bay bridge, is the largest bore tunnel in the world. A. P.
