Gone is the day when doctors

sales talk "eminent medical au
thoritles" are less than a dime a
dozen now. It Is a heartbreak'
lngly slow process, but I believe
we are gradually enlightening
the nubile concerning the pre
tensions of charlatans within and
without the medical organs

Boy Scout News
Troop 2
Troop 2 will hold a Court of
Honor May 22 at the armory at
7:3J p. m. The troop will be the
guests of their sponsors the
D.A.V. Court will be followed
by a demonstration of the Drum
and Bugle Corps under super
vision of Bliss Heine. Refresh
ments will be served later.
Several members of the troop
have been busy with the paper
drive, collecting about 10,000
pounds and are still collecting
more.

The 24th annual Buddy Poppy
sale will be conducted here May
25 and 26 by the Veterans of
Foreign Wars , Post Commander

A V. F. W. announcement
points out that the poppies are
strictly a non-profit venture, ex
clusively for benefit of disabled
veterans, their dependents, and
the widows and orphans of vet
erans. The v. r . w. is handling
thousands of claims for depend
ents of men disabled or killed in
the present war, Commander
Robb emphasized, adding" that
service is free of charge and re
gardless of wether the benefici
aries belong to the organization.

been universally adopted as America's
flower of remembrance ever since the
annual nationwide sale of this sym
