We know about a little grocer who went to sleep the other day , . . standing on his feet . . taking an order . . . writing the Order in his order book. This grocer doesn't give the service he once gave. He for gets things. He gets orders mixed. He can't deliver. But to the very limit he is trying I It's tha same with people everywhere. Most stores and other businesses try to maintain service. But they're human. If they are so lucky as to get help, there's Utile time for training. Green hands however willing are all thumbs. And tired hands though skilled often fumble. So tha trouble is really no body's fault. As the French say, "C'est la guerre." It's the war. Maybe we should remember that when we feci like blowing up and saying, "I'll never eat in that restaurant again". , . Of "I wouldn't be caught dead in that store". . . or "Down they go in my postwar black book !" If wa must get "war nerves," wouldn't it be a pious plan to get them one at a time? If the bus driver or plumber or hotel clerk or delivery man riles oo because he's near a nervous breakdown himself isn't that the time to remain serene? If we postpone our tantrum, may be we can put it in mothballs for the duration. And why not? The blame worthy will get theirs eventu ally. If we give chaps like the little grocer a break, aren't we doing the same thing for our selves? And if we must get mad, there's always Hirohitol In Senior Play ism-- t:frw Maxine McKinney and Ferney Penny Woods and Chuck Harris "June Mad." scheduled for the p. m. in tha Medford high school (Photo smoking sands on their trek to Mecca. After the surviving nov ices have been formally accepted into the fraternity of the Mystic Shrine, a "shoot-the-breeze" ses sion will be held, according to Chairman Brownell.
